Itinerary

The adventure begins with the thrill of arrival, as the African air welcomes you and every glance reveals a new horizon. The transfer to the hotel is your first taste of Uganda's essence: roads that whisper stories, golden sunsets, and the promise of extraordinary days ahead. The night invites rest, while your heart beats with anticipation for the safari to come. Accommodation: 3*/4* hotel in a twin room. Meal plan: dinner.

The road to Kibale is a green poem that unfolds through hills, villages, and endless forest. As you venture into the tropical rainforest and the Bigodi wetlands, nature reveals itself in birdsong and shadows moving among the trees. Every step brings you closer to the realm of the primates, sparking a deep connection with wildlife. Accommodation: Turaco Tree Tops Lodge, Chimpanzee Guest House or similar in a twin room. Meal plan: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The morning begins with the search for our closest relatives deep in the forest. Hearing their calls, meeting their curious gazes, and sharing their territory for a moment is an experience that stirs the soul. Later, the road to Bwindi winds through rural landscapes and mist-covered mountains, preparing your spirit for the encounter you've been waiting for. Accommodation: Rushaga Gorilla Camp, Lake Mutanda Lodge or similar in a twin room. Meal plan: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Today's the big day! You'll head into the Bwindi forest in small groups (max. 8 people) in search of the mountain gorillas, a once-in-a-lifetime experience and the highlight of this trip. Along the way, your guide will point out signs like nests, bamboo remains, and other traces that reveal their presence. The trek winds through forested slopes, vines, bamboo, and dense vegetation, until you finally come face to face with these gentle giants. You'll be able to spend up to 1 hour observing and sharing their company before heading back to the starting point. Accommodation: Rushaga Gorilla Lodge. Meal plan: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

After an early breakfast, you'll begin the journey back from Bwindi to Kampala, a roughly 9-hour drive that takes you from the cool heights of the Kigezi Highlands down through the rolling landscapes of Ankole and Buganda, surrounded by farms, plantations, villages, and small markets. Along the way you'll make several stops, including the Equator line at Kayabwe, where you can take photos. Depending on your flight schedule, your guide may add other stops en route. You'll arrive in Kampala/Entebbe in the afternoon, with plenty of time to freshen up and get ready for your journey home.

It's been a pleasure having you on this route through Uganda, truly one of those experiences that stays with you for a lifetime. We'll head to Entebbe airport to catch our flight home. That's a wrap on this trip — see you on the next W&W route. Meals: breakfast at the hotel. Transfers: airport transfer.

Have questions?

Be between 25 and 45 years old, with valid travel documentation (a passport valid for at least 6 months from your entry date into the country). We'll guide you if you need to arrange a visa.

Given the nature of our adventures — constant transfers, packing and unpacking every day — we ask you to travel light: a small backpack or personal item, plus a 10–12 kg carry-on. If you prefer to bring a larger suitcase, any extra storage or transport cost is on you.

Message us on WhatsApp using the "Reserve your spot" button and we'll walk you through the form and deposit. As soon as your spot is confirmed, we'll send you the next steps.

You reserve your spot with $100 USD, which counts toward the final package price. The remainder is split into up to 6 payments on fixed dates, and must be paid off no later than one month before the trip. Cash payments are not accepted.

You book your own flights, but you'll get guidance from your experience coordinator once you've reserved your spot, including the recommended arrival airport. If you decide to fly in before or after the group dates, any extra costs are on you.

An experience coordinator follows up with you remotely before the trip (flights, visas, prep). A W&W ambassador travels with you in person and leads the group, and expert local guides join you on tours. The rest of the group is other travelers on the same date.

Our packages are built around well-located 3- or 4-star hotels, in twin rooms (2 beds) shared with another group member. Some packages include different nights, like camping or igloos, noted in the itinerary.
