The next day, the challenge calls with the ascent of towering Acatenango Volcano — an adrenaline-filled journey that has us spending the night at its base while we watch the natural spectacle of Fuego Volcano erupting, lighting up the night sky. At sunrise, we'll reach Acatenango's summit, where breathtaking panoramic views will leave us speechless before we head back to charming Antigua, full of energy and epic memories.
We'll arrive in the picturesque city of Antigua, famous for its colonial architecture. We'll transfer from the airport to check in at our hotel in the historic center. Today we'll have the pleasure of meeting each other in person and heading out to dinner to kick off this incredible trip.
Today we'll enjoy a guided tour of Antigua's main attractions, exploring its history and culture as we stroll through its charming cobblestone streets. In the afternoon, we'll hold a briefing to go over all the details of the volcano trek that begins the next day.
We'll start the day early, setting off on the exciting ascent of Acatenango Volcano. Along the way, we'll take in incredible scenery as we make our way to our campsite at the volcano's base. As night falls, we'll witness the natural spectacle of Fuego Volcano, its eruptions lighting up the sky and creating an unforgettable experience. For those who want to reach the base of Fuego Volcano, we'll head out before sunset to get to the foot of the volcano and watch the eruptions up close from a safe distance.
We'll wake up before sunrise to tackle the final stretch to the summit of Acatenango Volcano. From the top, we'll take in a breathtaking view of the surroundings, with Fuego Volcano and other mountain landscapes spread out below us. After this achievement, we'll begin the descent back to Antigua, where we'll rest and enjoy our last day in this magical city.
We'll say goodbye to Guatemala, ready to head home with unforgettable memories of our adventure through the volcanoes and the city of Antigua.

Be between 25 and 45 years old, with valid travel documentation (a passport valid for at least 6 months from your entry date into the country). We'll guide you if you need to arrange a visa.
Given the nature of our adventures — constant transfers, packing and unpacking every day — we ask you to travel light: a small backpack or personal item, plus a 10–12 kg carry-on. If you prefer to bring a larger suitcase, any extra storage or transport cost is on you.

You reserve your spot with $100 USD, which counts toward the final package price. The remainder is split into up to 6 payments on fixed dates, and must be paid off no later than one month before the trip. Cash payments are not accepted.
You book your own flights, but you'll get guidance from your experience coordinator once you've reserved your spot, including the recommended arrival airport. If you decide to fly in before or after the group dates, any extra costs are on you.
An experience coordinator follows up with you remotely before the trip (flights, visas, prep). A W&W ambassador travels with you in person and leads the group, and expert local guides join you on tours. The rest of the group is other travelers on the same date.
Our packages are built around well-located 3- or 4-star hotels, in twin rooms (2 beds) shared with another group member. Some packages include different nights, like camping or igloos, noted in the itinerary.
